Week 13 Assignment - Unseen Places
Okay this week was kinda interesting as I wanted to create something more pretty and appealing to the rest of the class. I think that people enjoy the little creatures I made previously ( at least those that I spent less than 2 hours on.... seems the more time I spend on a project the more noticeably frustrated the work becomes ) . I couldn't find anything around Wurster so I plundered my studio. Seems I have a thing for Octopusses ( that's right....OCTOPUSSES not OCTOPI )....
I wasn't satisfied with the pics from that night so I reassembled it on the balcony in the tower. Tried to give the pics an ethereal feel.
Holds up, all these strange creature combos--but how you shoot the photo is really important. The over-all here doesn't quite get the magic of how this looked in class. Nevertheless, I remain an octo-fan...
ReplyDeleteOverall, Casto, I'm glad you used the semester to show us sides of yourself that we might not have predicted. I think that's been healthy, all around--and that you've probably learned from it. I know that sometimes you've veered towards the ones "everyone will like" (rather than your more gnarly visions). That's an inner dialogue that you need to go on exploring.
